Aalto Women's Center abortion clinic was founded in 1984 by its owner and medical director, Dr. Oscar J. Gonzalez-Vera Board Certified and Re-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Dr. Gonzalez completed his training in Baltimore, Maryland at a Johns-Hopkins affiliated hospital. He currently holds hospital privileges at The Woman's Hospital of Texas in the Texas Medical Center and Twelve Oaks Hospital.

Aalto Women’s Center specializes in family planning and pregnancy terminations ("abortion") and serves Houston and its surrounding areas with a commitment to quality health care for women. A Texas state-licensed clinic since 1985, Aalto Women’s Center is an organization dedicated to providing expert, confidential, and respectful abortion care. Our center is reputable for quality patient care and surgical excellence. Additionally, it is inspected annually and meets or exceeds all standards for patient care set forth by the Texas Health Department. The abortion clinic uses the latest technology to meet the highest standards for surgical equipment, emergency preparedness, and cleanliness of the facility. Aalto Women’s Center was developed with the patients’ needs in mind: to provide a warm, secure, comfortable environment in which patients can feel at ease.

The facility is conveniently located in a private, 8-story office building on the Southwest Freeway, in the Houston Galleria area, within easy access of most major highways. Free covered parking is available to all patients.

The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Abortion procedures are scheduled daily, Monday through Saturday, usually in the mornings.

We suggest that you call two (2) days ahead of the day you plan to come for your abortion procedure. Recent changes in Texas law require a 24-hour waiting period before you can have an abortion.
